Meeru Maldives Resort Island ★★★★

Staff was very professional and friendly. The rooms were clean. Food was abosolutely amazing, buffet of 20+ different dishes and desserts for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Mix of Asian, European, and American cuisine. The resort exceeded all our expectations and we hope we'll be able to come back soon.

Excellent food, big choice. Big variation. Nice beach all around the island. Nice to walk on the sand or inside the island, in the shadow.

The price to upgrade from full board( no drinks) to all included. 120$/ person/day...

Everything. This was my first trip to Maldives. My experience was just short of Heaven! I am blessed to have had this experience in my life. I will tell EVERYONE that I know to try and make a vacation in Maldives. Obviously, at the Meeru resort and spa. ️️

This is no fault of anyone at the resort. However, my friend I traveled with ended up getting sick. She could not fly home and needed to be looked at the Male hospital. I could not stay with her because I had a separate flight.

The quality of all meals were exceptional, the cleanliness of the entire property - perfect - everything was spotless all the time, the room maintenance was great, even beyond expectations - smooth and unnoticeable, the personnel did a wonderful job

We liked it all, no complaints whatsoever. ... if anything, that would be the wifi connection that could be improved, as it was unstable and weak at times

• The beach is fantastic and, as opposed to other resorts, the turqoise waters are all around the island • The food was really good, with plenty of options to cater to all the tastes. The kid was also delighted with the kids' menu • The pool bar was Heaven, great place to enjoy the sun and read • Plenty of instagrammable places around the island, that are really well taken care of

If that was our first visit to Maldives, we'd have considered it astonishing. Given we've been there before, we noticed some things that could be better: • The marine life - there is not so much marine life at the shore in comparison with the other islands we visited in the Maldives • Sometimes the beach is quite dirty - during our last evening there was a lot of dirt on the beach, as well as a dead bat to top it off • The prices are completely outrageous, they are charging $45 per hour for a SUP. I had that complimentary in the other stays • The rooms could use a refurbish. We stayed in a Beach Villa, which was greatly positioned. However, the air conditioning wasn't working properly and you couldn't change the fan & volume. The room was freezing • The extra bed in the room was a bed joke - it was more comfortable to sleep on the floor. It was really hard, like sleeping on a piece of wood • The proximity to Dhiffushi (local island) don't give you the secluded vibe that other islands do

Best location I have ever seen, very nice staff and programe for custumers is really good. Island is separated to family parts and non-kinds parts, which is also nice idea. I would give 10/10 if internet was working good.

Very bad internet. I had to buy local simcard to do work. So I know that there is possibility to do good internet even on the island.

What an amazing experience! Jacuzzi Water Villa was great, the level of attention to details is something I have never experienced in other hotels. From spotlights to observe marine life at night to jars of water to clean your feet at each room entrance, everything was carefully thought. The view, bed, porch, shower, jacuzzi were all amazing. Food was delicious with a LOT of different options. Lunch was provided before check-in and after check-out which was pretty generous. A hot shower is provided after check-out if you want to enjoy the sea/pool before going back to the airport. Staff is extremelly kind and helpful, always with a smile. I really don't have much to say. It is an expensive splurge but very much worth it!

If I have to be ultra picky there are some things that we thought could be better. Toiletries could be better (no hair conditioner, comb, shaving kit, etc.). Snorkeling masks and kayaking could be free to guests even with a time restriction like 30 min/day. Paying for those activities seemed a little cheap of their part after paying a $1000+/night. For the New Year's Eve event, the gala dinner was amazing but not even a single champagne glass for a toast was provided. Also no fireworks, only a countdown on a screen which was pretty anticlimatic. I expected more for $210/person. Again, these are all minor observations with no impact whatsoever in our overall experience.
